This was One of the most memorable trips which i had wid only 2 buddies For company namely Sai Prakash And Mathang Tyagaraj(Its more fun with less no of ppl in a trip).o be honest with you all.This trip wasnt even planned(LOL).It materialised On the 6th of July When Mathang Called me up all of a sudden at around 1.30 pm and asked me to pack my bags for a Trip to Elagiri.I was In total Shock for 2 reasons.1)I was thinking how on earth am i going to arrange cash for the trip on such a short notice and 2)We hadnt planned any schedule nor booked accomodation.I told him i will ask my dad and notify him.I immediately cal up dad and told him about this sudden plan.He too like me was a little surprised that i am telling him about this trip all of a sudden and demanding him loads of cash on such a short notice.He too like me asked for some time to arrange cash.But once he cut the call,he remembered that My grandad(Dad'd Dad.. :P) was in town.He immediately called him up and told him to give me the amount i needed for the trip.Then i phoned back mathang and told that i am Game for the trip.He then said We will leave at 4 pm.I then packed my bags and was all set.We both then left for Sai's residence as we were planning to go by His car(Sai's Uncle's car t be precise).We left His place at 3.40 and thus began our memorable road trip.Our First stop was to fill Petrol Near Hosur.It had started to pour there.But since we were in a car,we didnt have to face the wrath of the rain gods.Then Mathang and me felt hungry,we halted at a chaat stall and had bhel and masala puri(The minimum Price for any chaat item in bangalore is Rs.14,but in hosur it was only 7(:O),the taste was amazing for a chaat so cheap(it sucks in bangalore).Then we proceeded towards Vellore where we found lots of interesting and funny Sign Boards.We Clicked pics of all of dem wid my camera(A NIKON D3000) but since we where travelling at a high speed many of the pics were blurred.Then as we proceeded,we decided to take a shortcut via Jolarpett to Elagiri,though it want a good road we saved about 11 kms.Before Ascending the hill we brought some stuff which we thought we wouldnt get in Elagiri.After buying them we proceeded straight to Elagiri and booked ourselves a room In Yatri NivasI must say for Rs.875/Night the room was too Hi-5.We then left our bags,rested for sometime and proceeded to pack buy dinner and come.We walked for about 800mts when we found some decent Eateries(They cant be considered as Hotels,looked more like a grocery store) and brought food.I brought my self a plate of chapathis,Sai brought himself an egg dosa while matty brought himself some Fish and Omlette for each of us.But upon Reaching out room we realised they had given us only 1 omlette instead of 3.DOesnt matter,small mistakes do happen every now and hen.Then we ast at our dining table(yes there was a dining table for us) we sipped on our cold drinks and ate our food while watching tv.We were waiting for the Semi-Finals of the Fifa WC(Holland vs Uruguay),after such a satisfying dinner i was too sleepy to watch the full game,i slept just a few mins after the game began,while sai and matty watched half the game and they too dozed off.
I was the first one to wake up in the morning at 6.20am.I finshed all my activities(Potty,brushig my teeth etc etc) and switched on the tv and watched the highlights of the sem finals while the other 2 lazy bonesslept till 8 am.We ordered breakfast(6 dosas and tea) after those 2 woke up.While Sai and me started gobbline our dosas one by one,matty began brushing his teeth.then an hour later after we were ready and freshend up after bath,we decided to go cycling around Elagiri to savour the beauty of the hill town.That cycle trek was one of the most tiring ones as it was a 13 km strech and most of the ride cossted of upward slopes at an angle to 30-40 degrees.The 2 hr long stretch proved to be too tiring,we did take breaks in between,but the upward slopes had taken a toll on me.During one of the breaks we went up a small rock and rested thr for half an hour and also killed time by clicking pics of ourselves.After that exausting trek we finally reached our Guest house(i was puffingand panting by the time i reached,phew!!).Then we ordered our lunch at the guest house itself and took a long rest of 2.50 hrs before we started our journey back to bangalore.We had our lunch which consisted of simple tamil nadu style meals(Its my staple diet,hence i managed to finish the meal while Sai and matty who never ate proper lunch couldnt finish even 50% of the meal.)After our meal we relaxed on our bed for an hour and half before packing our bags and leaving for Bangalore.As we left we decided to go for boating nearby our guest house.Matty was a little nervous to go for boating as he didnt know swimming and plus he thought the lake was infested wid crocodiles(Sai and ME were LOAO-Crocs on a hill station).We then somehow managed to convince him and began our 40 min boat ride.During our ride,our boat got stuck as it landed on a huge rock,2 teenagers who were riding a oat nearby brought us outta the rock and we made our way back to the doc(:P).Then we had some ice creams and proceeded back home to Namma Bengalooru).Our journey ended We reached Bangalore at 7.15.IT WAS SUCH AN AMZING AND FUN TRIP...AM WAITING for our next trip.FINGERS CROSSED,the reason we had to come back in 1 day was the fact that we hadnt planned our trip and secondly we had limited amount of cash.Had we planned it properly we would have ended up stayin in Elagiri for atleast 2 more days and could have explored the whole hill town.Thx to Sai,Matty and Sai's Uncles Car we had a scintillating ROAD TRIP...HIP HIP HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
